Older People's Project - connecting, thriving and belonging

A culturally sensitive project primarily targeting older women of Bangladeshi heritage - and women from the wider diverse communities we support at Shantona. We provide a range of social, educational and recreational opportunities for older women to connect outside their family homes, whilst upholding and maintaining cultural traditions and values.

ABOUT THIS SERVICE

A safe, welcoming space rooted in culture and community.

Most of the work is delivered in small group sessions at the Bangladeshi Centre, with access to 1:1 support where deemed necessary and beneficial. Sessions focus on social, educational and recreational activities that respect and celebrate the cultural traditions and values of the women we serve.
