Complex Needs -
Tailored support for women facing multiple challenges
Providing tailored support for women with complex needs, specialising in women from diverse communities. We create support plans to assist women in addressing the issues they are facing - including benefit issues, welfare rights, mental health, housing, substance use, and legal issues such as immigration and divorce.

Women's Lives Leeds at Shantona works with women whose lives are affected by several interconnected issues at once.
We create individual support plans to help women navigate these challenges - working across the following areas and more.

WHAT WE PROVIDE
How Women's Lives Leeds supports you
Our support covers a wide range - from individual 1:1 sessions to group work, outreach and specialist school programmes.
1:1 weekly support
Regular 1:1 sessions – two hours per week – at a time and venue that suits you. Your support worker comes to you, wherever you feel most comfortable.
Practical and emotional support
Hands-on help with the practical challenges you’re facing, alongside emotional support to help you feel heard, understood and less alone.
Signposting to relevant services
Connecting you with the specialist services, agencies and resources that can best address the specific challenges in your support plan.
Accompanying clients to meetings
Your worker can accompany you to appointments, meetings and court proceedings – so you never have to face important moments alone.

HOW TO ACCESS THIS SERVICE
Referred through our network of partner organisations
Access to Women's Lives Leeds at Shantona is via referral from one of our partner organisations.
To make a referral, the client must already be accessing support or group work from one of the following partners.
To make a referral to the Complex Needs Service, the client needs to be accessing support or group work from one of the partner organizations listed below. If you are currently supported by one of these organizations, they can make a referral on your behalf.
