Sanctuary support- housing related support

18+

Sanctuary Support team project is a pathway into support, particularly from marginalised groups- culturally diverse and migrant communities to have the opportunity to access additional support surrounding Domestic Abuse and helps individuals in fear of crime feel safer in their homes and to potentially prevent homelessness.

SST aim to support victims-survivors in Leeds who require additional security measures and safety planning. We also offer emotional, practical and advocacy support focussing on, but not limited to, their experience of domestic abuse. The level and length of support required will vary from person to person. It may involve intensive 1-1 work, it may be about regular check-ins, it may be linking people into appropriate groups/training opportunities. Risk will be regularly assessed, and high risk/very high-risk cases will be referred into LDVS for additional support and one key role is in increasing awareness of Sanctuary throughout their organisation and to other community and faith-based organisations in their area.
