Reducing Health & Inequality

We provide essential services to the most hard to reach communities that do not have access to facilities until they develop severe or serious health problems. This year we have provided services to the community that have improved well-being, promoted healthy choices, given access to health services and ensured equality in the local society.

Partnerships

In order to deliver these services we have developed strong partnerships with many health associations including NHS Leeds, Chapeltown GP Surgery, Just Fitness, Leeds City Council, Ministry of Food, Change 4 Life, Job Centre, Zest and Feel Good Factor to name a few. Through working with various, relevant statutory and voluntary organisations, we have opened up the chance to integrate into the wider community; as well as created education and employment related opportunities. We have also catered our services to meet the communities’ physical, social, emotional needs and have run cultural/religious training programmes that raise awareness amongst professionals.

Who we have served

Future Plan

We would like to continue developing our partnership with various organisations to deliver the best services to the most vulnerable women, children, young people and families. Shantona has vast knowledge and expertise in delivering the services and would like to:

• Further develop our Food Tools, which is currently available in 8 languages

• Engage in partnerships with various consortia

• Increase opportunities to work closely with partners to provide more complementary services that engage the most disadvantaged communities

• Reduce the health risks which are common within the local communities
